Our Commitment

This Accessibility Statement applies to all pages and digital products under the domain www.amedare.com.

We are committed to ensuring www.amedare.com remains accessible and compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and relevant European and Polish regulations, including Directive (EU) 2016/2102 and the Digital Accessibility Act. We are also preparing to meet WCAG 2.2 standards once officially adopted. At ÂME DARE, we believe every visitor should be able to access our collections, stories and services with ease and dignity. We are committed to making www.amedare.com usable for all people, including those with disabilities, by meeting or exceeding the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA and relevant European and Polish regulations (Directive (EU) 2016/2102, the Digital Accessibility Act, and the Act of 4 April 2019 on Digital Accessibility of Public Sector Bodies’ Websites and Mobile Applications).

Measures We Take

Inclusive Design

We follow a “design for all” approach from the first wireframe to the final release.

Accessible Coding Standards

Semantic HTML5, proper ARIA roles, logical heading structure, keyboard-first navigation.

Contrast & Colour

Text and interactive elements meet or exceed WCAG contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text).

Alt Text & Media

All meaningful images include descriptive alt attributes; video content is captioned.

Responsive & Zoom-Friendly Layout

Pages re-flow cleanly across devices and support browser zoom to 200 % without loss of content or function.

Automated & Manual Testing

We use Axe, WAVE and Lighthouse audits plus manual keyboard and screen-reader checks (NVDA + Chrome, VoiceOver + Safari).

Staff Training

Designers, developers and content editors receive ongoing accessibility training.

Continuous Improvement

Accessibility is part of every sprint’s definition of done, with defects tracked in our issue-management pipeline.

To achieve and maintain accessibility, we:

Conformance Status

  • Target standard: WCAG 2.1 Level AA

  • We believe this website is substantially conformant with these requirements. Known minor accessibility issues are documented and scheduled for resolution in upcoming development cycles

Compatibility

Our site is designed to work with the latest two major versions of:

  • Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Microsoft Edge

  • Screen-reader / OS pairings: NVDA + Chrome/Firefox on Windows 10/11, JAWS + Edge, VoiceOver + Safari on macOS & iOS, TalkBack + Chrome on Android.

Older browsers or assistive technologies may exhibit minor limitations. This list is not exhaustive; we aim to maintain compatibility with all commonly used assistive technologies.

Assessment Approach

  • Internal testing before every release (checklists + automated tools).

  • Quarterly manual audits by certified accessibility specialists.

  • Annual external audit with WCAG 2.1 AA conformance report.

  • Last independent accessibility audit: November 2025.

Enforcement

  • If your accessibility request has not been satisfactorily addressed, you may file a complaint with the Commissioner for Human Rights (Rzecznik Praw Obywatelskich) at https://bip.brpo.gov.pl/

Future Vision

Accessibility is an ongoing journey. As we expand our collections, we will:

  • Implement WCAG 2.2 updates once final.

  • Add audio descriptions for key look-books.

  • Launch an accessibility-first design system to accelerate compliant feature roll-outs.

  • We publish annual accessibility progress updates and welcome feedback to help us improve further.

Thank you for visiting ÂME DARE.

We value your feedback and will continue working to provide an inclusive, enjoyable experience for everyone.
